Emery and Brad Vlotho
StorMax owners, Emery and Brad Vlotho , spent most of their years in the agriculture business back in Iowa. About 30 years ago, Emery and Brad moved west to be nearer Brad's sisters.
Emery loved the Central Valley, but he didn't want to sit home and do nothing. Through relatives, he became intrigued by the opportunities in the storage business. At first he was unsure about the possibilities. He recalled, "Back home we put our extra stuff in the barn." But Emery soon saw how storage facilities can help people in transitions manage their treasures.
StorMax now has ten locations throughout California's Central Valley and is always expanding. Brad Vlotho carefully oversees the construction of all our lockers. "Look for our next locations to open soon in Selma, Hanford, and Chowchilla," says Brad.
Stormax depends on its employees. A lot of our employees have been with us for 15 to 20 years. They are like family.
Emery meets with staff each month to train and troubleshoot best practices. "Our product is similar to a bank's in that we are virtually selling the same product as other storage facilities. So it's critical we provide friendly service to our customers and get to know them. We try to do that."
